Pakistan is the 6th largest country in the world by the population in South Asia. Pakistan is a developing country and is one of the Next Eleven, the eleven countries that have a potential to become one of the world's large economies in the 21st century. The current situation is that the country is democratically governed by a large political party but there is a political instability causing risk of more deteriorating law and order condition. The organizational trends in the LCL(Less container Load or lose container load) and groupage transports of the country are also not fitting in the desired criteria. LCL shipments are mostly used by small and mid-size businesses because generally, they don't have enough volume for full container load (FCL) and due to less lead time waiting is also not possible, hence delivery deadline cannot be missed. Companies and individuals have to go through multiple hurdles during the shipment processes of goods. Special considerations are required specifically at the time of pre-haul and post-haul transports.Talking about the transport industry of Pakistan, we can clearly say that it is very complex, it is a mix of formal and informal service providers, freight forwarders, traders, suppliers, formal and informal infrastructure. The dynamics of the Pakistani road freight is quite different from rest of the world, unlike most other countries Pakistan's inland freight is highly tilted towards the road as compared to rail which is the only sole operator of railways in Pakistan due to fundamental inefficiencies.
