Wendy Gorton holds a master’s degree in learning technologies and is a former classroom teacher. As part of her quest to bring science education alive, she worked as a National Geographic Fellow in Australia researching Tasmanian devils, a PolarTREC teacher researcher in archaeology in Alaska, an Earthwatch teacher fellow in the Bahamas and New Orleans, and a GoNorth! teacher explorer studying climate change via dogsled in Finland, Norway, and Sweden. Today, she is a global education consultant who has traveled to more than fifty countries to design programs, build communities, and inspire other educators to do the same.  Hailey Terry has a bachelor’s degree in public health. She is an avid hiker, backpacker, and rock climber and loves anything that gets her outside. She’s a mother to two kids and loves bringing them along on all of her adventures. When her husband was deployed a few weeks after their first baby was born, she started sharing her experiences hiking solo with her baby as a new mom on Instagram, @haileyoutside. Now she helps parents all over the world get outside with their kids, sharing her best tips for hiking in all seasons, backpacking, camping, and more. She has written a Hiking with Babies Guide, where she shares everything from how to dress your baby, dealing with naps, breastfeeding on the trail, and gear recommendations. She also has a blog, haileyoutside.com, where you can read more detailed posts about getting outside with kids and sign up for her emails.
