This study was an attempt to find an innovative way of evaluating English language teachers, called Computer-Assisted Teacher Evaluation or CATE. Encountering abundant problems in English teacher evaluation area motivated the researchers to do this study and to investigate its impact on teachers' professional development.CATE users recognized it as an innovative and promising approach in improving instruction and gaining teacher support. Also, they found it compatible with the ongoing development trend in educational technology.The book is highly recommended for teacher educators, educational managers, and researchers in teacher assessment and applied linguistics.
