The gold standard in clinical mass spectrometry is now completely redesigned for easier access and condensed to accommodate the world's most comprehensive reference in a handy two volumes. More than 1500 new spectra of novel designer drugs, pharmaceuticals and their metabolites have been added, bringing the total up to 7,800 clinically important substances, listed in order of molecular mass. A unique feature of this collection is that all substances are classified according to their toxicological categories, greatly helping the clinical researcher to identify and evaluate unknown samples.
Volume 1 contains an overview on experimental methods, plus compound indices by name and substance category. The second volume contains the data for each substance, including base peak and characteristic masses, structural formula, empirical formula and exact mass, GC retention index and detection methods, compound category and sample type, CAS registry number and up to four compound names.
A truly unique collection of data obtained over the course of more than two decades.
