Sharing the ministerial inheritance of his maternal grandparents and his late mother and father, he has a great love and avid zeal to bring souls into the knowledge of the Lord. Harriston has a Bachelor of Science degree, along with: additional educational studies at The Ohio State University, Theological studies at Moody Bible Institute, and Trinity Lutheran Theological Seminary.
