In doing this, we learned together as a family about the power of kindness to help, heal and build resilience. Today, 50 Days of Kindness has evolved into a purpose-driven organization that puts kindness into the world to improve the well-being of individuals and inspire people to make positive contributions to society, and toward a healthier planet. We do this by running an annual Kindness Challenge, promoting influential change makers, and developing content & educational materials to inspire and empower everyone, everywhere about the true power of kindness. Heather Sherman is a seasoned and award-winning storyteller, having spent 20+ years as a journalist - most recently, as a Producer/Director at Discovery Canada's 'Daily Planet,' where she generated over 200 short documentaries about groundbreaking technology, scientific discoveries and world-changing inventions. In recognition of her exceptional coverage, she received two awards at the Houston Film Festival and was nominated for the Walter Sullivan Award for Excellence in Science Journalism.Together with her family, husband Matt & daughters, Jadyn & Jules, and inspired by their @50daysofkindness family project, they were motivated to write a children's book all about kindness - featuring their adorable real-life pups, Jake & Toby.
