My work is a contemporary investigation into the ethics of fundraising and corporate sponsorship within U.K. art museums. Working for one of the UK's most important art museums at the time, I asked myself whether oil company sponsorships with art museums, such as that of BP with the British Museum and the Tate, are ethically problematic, and, if so, why? Then, I asked myself: Do these museums really have a choice, financially speaking? These questions led to interesting findings, of which I illustrate in my book.
