The Millennium Villages Project of the Earth Institute at Columbia University implemented a project in Bar Sauri sub Location, Siaya County, Kenya towards improving livelihoods and food security. This study through household survey, KII, FGD and observation established that adoption of livestock, maize and crop diversification interventions was significantly influenced by Education level, Gender, Household size, Household type, Income level, Labour source and Land size. Therefore policy issues on marketing, food preservation, input subsidies and capacity building should be strengthened.
