Autorenporträt
The High Priest Kwatamani forwarded as a supreme sooth-sayer, soul seer, and spiritual healer from the unseen in 1946 at the close of World War II, a time marked by turbulent change upon the seen. In the wake of tremendous destruction and loss of life, the High Priest Kwatamani emerged with the ancient seeds of a higher-peace energy implanted within his consciousness. From early childhood, the High Priest was fortunate to be divinely nurtured and protected by grandparents who not only share-cropped, but who also maintained a large family garden and their own plantation fields. The High Priest takes great ancestral pride in the fact that he planted, tilled many a field, and harvested with his grand-mother and his great-grandmother present. Both of these Elder Nurturers shared with him wisdom acquired from many generations of oral tradition as well as their own life experiences as soothsayers and healers-life experiences which extended over a hundred years each. From an early age, it was discovered that fresh fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts were not only his natural preference, but also a vital necessity during the High Priest's recovery from a life-threatening childhood condition. Although his parents and other relatives were consumers of the standard Western-culture diet, i.e. soul-food eating folks, the opportunity to eat directly from the garden while living with his grandparents and great grandmother was the High Priest's saving grace until he came of age. In the late 60's during the Vietnam Conflict, High Priest Kwatamani served in the Air Force where he continued a major struggle to maintain the necessities of a raw-and-living diet and a holistic living lifestyle. The High Priest's diverse and extensive background includes formal education at UCLA where he received an undergraduate degree in history and further graduate studies at UC Irvine. He later served as a personnel administrator and affirmative-action officer in Orange and Riverside counties in California, a position which accented his exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, which he has re-directed towards the divine science of holistic living. The High Priest's travels have carried him around the globe, to Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa. He served as a research lecturer at the University of Lagon in Accra, Ghana . As a Grand Master Chef, his years of experience and exposure to the numerous cultures and culinary styles have added an exquisite range to his recipe repertoire. In the 1970's, the High Priest Kwatamani orchestrated the First Innercourse in Philadelphia, PA, the first raw and living foods center of its kind in the United States. The High Priest has acted as CEO of holistic health enterprises and served as a healing consultant and guest speaker throughout the world. Major media appearances on international, national and local television networks and radio stations have distinguished him as an expert on topics related to a holistic living way of life and healing, featuring raw and living foods as the primary component. His lectures have inspired many from every walk of life, regardless of their age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, religion, or national origin to begin making fundamental changes in their attitudes and behaviors as major steps to holistic living health. The High Priest continues to serve as an authority in the field through the various publications, videos, and musical productions of the Kwatamani Holistic Institute, a U.S. non-profit organization dedicated to promoting mental, physical, and spiritual development.
