A descriptive study was conducted for aiming to determine the health perception and practices of gold leaf traditional industry workers in Mandalay. Simple random sampling method was used for total of 44 males and 106 females. Pretested structured questionnaire was used for data collection. There were two knowledge levels of low and high regarding occupational health, 53.3% respondents from different sections of gold leaf industry had high knowledge Among attitude levels of poor and good, nearly all workers (98%) take pride in making Myanmar traditional craft. In the assessment of practice, 40.7% of respondents could answer correctly in safety precautions on occupational hazards. In addition, there were significant associations between knowledge and attitude (p0.0001F), knowledge and practice (p0.000F) and attitude and practice (p 0.005F) levels of respondents upon occupational health and prevention of hazards. This study was conducted to support improvement of health perception and practices of gold leaf workers and suggested for educational program, training and administrative supports.
