Emphasizing the practical use of the antennas and models and not restricting the antennas to single applications, Approximate Antenna Modeling with CAD examines various antennas for wireless and communications applications, each one linked to a specific application. Detailed information about the model development and the use of the developed models are given. The text guides the inexperienced antenna engineer through the design process of several antennas, including Intravascular MR Antennas, Component Antennas, PCB Antennas, RFID Antennas etc.
In this book, different antennas for wireless and communications applications are discussed, each one linked to a specific application, thus emphasising the practical use of the antennas and models and not restricting the antennas to single applications. Detailed information about the model development and the use of the developed models is also given. It presents a step-by-step approach and is highly illustrated with approximately 500 figures. Many of the antennas and/or models discussed in this book have not been covered in previous publications (such as MRI Antennas, for example) Every type of antenna in the book is linked to an application, thus providing case studies and real life examples The book covers Intravascular MR antennas, Component Antennas - Short Circuited Strip Antennas, PCB Antennas - Printed Monopole Antennas, RFID Antennas - Folded Dipole Antennas, and Rectennas amongst others
