Iqra Hanif Vakil, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, cherished wildlife photography and the art of reading and writing poetry during her childhood and teenage years. Today she is often found engrossed in her favorite novels or narrating bedtime stories to her daughter. Writing a book was always on her bucket list, and eventually, with The Imaginary Adventures of Outer Backyard, it became a reality. Apart from delving into the latest gripping reads, Iqra delights in baking, gardening, and painting. She resides in Long Island with her husband and family.
