The objective of the present study is two folded. The first purpose of current study is to translate and adapt Revised Children¿s Manifest Anxiety Scale, Second Edition (RCMAS-2; Reynolds & Richmond, 2008) in national language of Pakistan i.e. Urdu and to estimate its reliability. The second purpose for this investigation is a) to explore the morbidity of anxiety in children and adolescents in Pakistan, b) reveals the relationship between anxiety and self-esteem in children and adolescents, c) to explore the difference in the level of anxiety of children and adolescents belonging to low socio-economic class in comparison to their counterparts belonging to middle and upper socio-economic classes, and d) to find the difference between the correlation of self-esteem and anxiety among children and adolescents belonging to low socio-economic class in comparison to their counterparts belonging to middle and upper socio-economic classes.

Iram Mansoor (PhD in Psychology) has done her Doctor of Philosophy from the Department of Psychology at the University of Karachi in 2011. After working at various educational institutions including Gomal University. Presently she is serving as a director at child personality assessment systems in taleemibaithak eastern educational services.
