Autorenporträt
Irlanda Ruiz nació en Humacao, Puerto Rico en el siglo XX. Sus primeros versos los escribió a la edad de los once años. Irlanda, completó un bachillerato en Artes con concentración en periodismo de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, posteriormente estudió Derecho y posee además una maestría en Educación. Sus escritos han sido publicados en diversos medios como revistas literarias, antologías y periódicos. Ha recibido varios premios literarios y es además autora de Equidad en el Aula: Guía de acomodos razonables para instituciones educativas privadas. Actualmente forma parte del Colectivo Obra y es miembro de varias organizaciones artísticas y cívicas.
