However, serious attention to HIV as causer of AIDS were formalized in the 1980s by CDC in USA. Zika virus (ZIKV) was first identified from monkeys of zika forest in Uganda in 1947. In 1959, first case of ZIKV was detected from human both in Uganda and its neighbour, United Republic of Tanzania. First large outbreak of ZIKV disease was from Yap Island in 2007. On February 1st, 2016; WHO declared ZIKV infection as a public health emergency of International concern. That followed association of ZIKV infection with clusters of microcephaly and other neurological disorders like Guillain-Barre Syndrome in the Americas. Interestingly, DRC, Uganda and Tanzania are neighbours, first cases of viruses in human are in 1959. Moreover ZIKV transmission by mosquitoes has been known for long time. However, resent investigations found that like HIV, ZIKV infections also spread by sexual transmission. We formulated mathematical models in order to understand, control and predict the future of the two epidemics.
