Kemi is a nationally-sought teacher, life coach, published author, and leading voice in breaking negative patterns stemming from early life experiences. Kemi grew up in Nigeria before moving to the US as an adult and she is a proud cisgender African American woman of the diaspora residing in Virginia with her 3 children. She earned her master's degree in adult education (M.A.) from the University of the District of Columbia Washington D.C. Professionally, Kemi has had the joy and privilege of working as an academic instructor in the US Department of Labor and a language arts teacher in the Maryland Public School System. During her long illustrious career as a teacher, Kemi has seen first-hand how various developmental and psychological concepts relate to the quality of our relationships. Looking back at her own personal experiences, she realized that childhood experiences quite commonly are the source of anxieties, self-sabotage, poor self-image, low esteem, and many other traits that damage adult relationships. Kemi draws inspiration from the Psalmist's words in Psalm 124:7,Our soul has escaped as a bird from the fowler's snare; the snare is broken, and we have escaped.Consequently, her coaching and speaking platform focuses on helping people unpack their childhood knapsacks, thereby breaking free from negative cycles that stop them from living their best lives.
