A young boy goes to a town event in the western tale "A Snowball's Chance". On a mission to deliver a gift to his gal, he will have to survive a long journey and fight off a gang of outlaws to get to where he is going. It's high noon, and he's running out of time.

The final story of the collection, "The Final Blow", is a re-telling of "Ferdiad at the Ford" from the myth of Cu Chulain. While some artistic liberties have been taken, the story stays true to the original tale. Two friends are fated to do battle, where there can be no winners.
