Autorenporträt
Joyce Golden Seyburn's love for children has been the central theme in her life. She received a B.S. in education from Wayne State University and proceeded to teach kindergarten and first grade. While her three children were young, she worked on her master's degree in early childhood development and also wrote articles for The Detroit News and various magazines. After volunteering at the Center for Mind/Body Medicine, Deepak Chopra's first West Coast well-being center, she found out that she was soon to become a grandmother for the first time. Searching for mind/body parenting books to share with her children and finding none, she decided to write her own. She then began Seven Secrets to Raising a Happy and Healthy Child, the first book on the mind/body approach to parenting. Currently, she speaks on mind/body issues for parents.
