This story was inspired by a trip to the supermarket to purchase vanilla ice cream requested by her three young daughters. The chest freezer held some strange seasonal combinations but no vanilla. As the Pumpkin Carmel Ripple flavor was mentioned, the girls all made disgusting noises and faces... so this story developed to make the most disgusting combination of flavors that any child, or adult for that matter, could image. The idea for The Amazing Tale of Bub the Trier was to find a character who could possibly put together strange food combinations and come out with a totally unexpected success.
