Have you ever been up in the middle of the night-way, way, way past midnight, when everyone else was sound asleep? And have you ever used a flashlight to hunt BUGS in the dark of the night with your grandmother by your side? Join ten-year-old Caroline with her Mimi as they tiptoe through the house on an adventure just the two of them supposedly share. Ironically, one cute little bug watches them in the den, in the kitchen, and out on the deck. But do they ever see him? As you read the story, do your own BUG hunt! ~Dr. Joyce C. Joanne Dillard Addison was born (1938) into a family of Southern storytellers. Educated in Rome, Georgia public schools, she received private instruction in music from Elizabeth Von Buday and dance from Bobbie Roberts. Awarded a B.S. from Shorter College and a M.Ed. from Berry, she taught at St. Mary's Catholic School and in Floyd and DeKalb Counties (Georgia) for twenty-three years. An exacting balance was required between her career and her domestic responsibilities as the mother of five. To her ten grandchildren, this book is lovingly dedicated. A TRUE family story, the only fictional character is the BUG. Mrs. Addison presently resides with their dog Crystal, and her husband Larry, a World War II veteran, in Tucker, Georgia, leading an active life in her church and community. .~ Carl H. Griffin, Retired Professor of English and Department Chair, Georgia Perimeter College, Atlanta, Georgia Jessica Lawrence is nineteen years old, and recently graduated from Chamblee Charter High School. She has a love of the arts. Whether it is in writing a poem, painting a picture, or sculpting a piece of jewelry, her attention to detail is evident. In addition to being an artist, Jessica is an accomplished young entrepreneur. Jessica has a website with several pieces of her work for sale. The pieces range from pottery, paintings, and jewelry. (you might want to include the web address) Jessica will be attending Savannah College of Art and Design in the fall and looks forward to the many opportunities that this experience will bring her. She hopes to open her own gallery some time in the future. ~Lisa Jones, teacher
