JOHANNA THOMPSON-VAN HORNE was born and raised in the Republic of Panama near the Canal Zone. She later joined her mother in the United States and lived at various locations in New York City. This is Johanna's first children's book. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Brooklyn College and a Court Reporting degree from Heffley & Browne Business School. She has two sons, Alexis and Erick; and 5 grandkids, Jazmin, Khalil, Sierra, Leila and Devin. Johanna is retired, a widow, and currently resides with her family in Rahway, New Jersey.
