John C. McClay, a Philadelphia native, boasts a diverse background. His career began as the youngest zookeeper at the Philadelphia Zoo, followed by a stint in the army stationed in Panama. Post-service, he joined Philadelphia Electric, retiring early to care for his family. This allowed him to explore his passions: oil painting, poetry, wine making, gardening, and writing.
