Jorge Alberto Tapía-Ortiz tiene un doctorado en Lenguas Hispánicas y Literatura por la Universidad de Pittsburgh. Sus investigaciones entrelazan la literatura latinoamericana, la historia, los movimientos sociales y las culturas populares. Se ha especializado en las literaturas indígenas contemporáneas. Realiza una estancia postdoctoral adscrito a la Maestría Estudios Amerindios y Educación Bilingüe y es profesor de la Facultad de Filosofía en la Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro. Se dedica a impartir talleres literarios en comunidades indígenas con la intención de promover la emergencia de nuevos escritores y escritoras, así como el empoderamiento y reconocimiento del pensamiento ancestral de los pueblos amerindios. Jorge Alberto Tapía-Ortiz has a doctorate in Hispanic Languages and Literature from the University of Pittsburgh.
