The mutual enrichment and tolerance between Christianity and Hinduism should be an important theme in any discussion of interreligious co-existence, because of the influence of both religions in the present day world. The Author: Joseph Pandiappallil, born in 1961, is a Catholic priest who belongs to the Missionary Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament (MCBS). He obtained his Master's degree in Philosophy from DVK Bangalore, and in Theology from Pontifical Institute Aluva. The author is Doctor of Theology (University of Freiburg im Breisgau) and Doctor of Philosophy (Hochschule für Philosophie Munich). He served for four years as Pastor in St. Quirin's Church in Munich. At present, he is President of Jeevalaya Institute of Philosophy, Bangalore, India, Professor of Philosophy at Jeevalaya Institute, and visiting Professor of Theology at Sanathana, Thamarassery. He has previously published Jesus the Christ and Religious Pluralism (New York 2001).
