Being the oldest child in my family came with many challenges for me as a kid. When I became pregnant with my daughter, I didn't know what to expect from my son. It was plaguing my mind day in and day out as a mom. My 1st and 2nd trimester were extremely difficult because I didn't know how my son would react to the news of a new baby. I didn't want her to feel neglected because of all the care and attention a new baby requires. But to my surprise, from the day we told him he was going to be a big brother he was immediately overjoyed. The kind of joyed that overflowed to me that ultimately made my 3rd trimester the happiest one. After bringing the baby home from the hospital he wanted to be apart of every aspect of her care. Throughout it all he kept on saying "I love being a big brother". I felt so proud of him, but I felt even more proud to be his mom. After speaking to many 2nd and 3rd time moms, they assured me that the feelings and emotions that I had endured during the first two trimesters about introducing a new sibling were totally normal feelings, after all we are our children's protectors and would never want them to feel neglected or abandoned in anyways. I hope you enjoy the story, please continue to read to your kids and look out for many more stories from this author.
