Melting ice, a blue bear cub, a tiny baby seal with the most startling blue eyes - what will it take for people to recognise climate change? The Queen of Ice is drowning, and the dragon dolphins can't save her because it is too hot for their ice-breath to freeze. Kefru, a blue polar cubka, is charged by the Blue to save her, but he has already lost his mumka, and the quest to find her is on. Can the dragon dolphins really help him to rescue the Queen of Ice and his mumka? Ten-year-old Cass is also struggling with change. His father, who owns a trawler boat that trades in seal skins, has promised he has changed. But is keeping a polar bear captive really a sign of change? This children's book for adults is a roller-coaster adventure. Read it together and stop the speed of climate change!
Autorenporträt
Rebel without a cause probably best describes Dr. Jackie Ferris - or it used to. Now it's rebel with a cause, many causes. Philosophy and practising in the field of mental health, along with a deep love of nature and the impact of climate change on our earth were the stimuli to write this novel for children. Education is fun and should always be shared. Hopefully children and parents who read this book will agree and, in some way, Kefru and the Dragon Dolphins will impact on slowing climate change and sprinkle a dash of Blue Magic into our lives.
