The Parlour Entrepreneur Workbook is an educational/anecdotal guide written in a "now" context, that shares the techniques and strategies Jacinta has used to position herself and continues to use to expand her businesses. The book is filled with lessons, examples, and straightforward information designed to get aspiring entrepreneurs thinking proactively now, not tomorrow. Also embedded in the workbook are assignments and tasks that push readers to get in the trenches and do the work necessary to grow and move from points A to B and onward. It's not about self-help and motivation as much as practical information that encourages ACTION, not contemplation. It's one thing to read about how someone succeeded, it's another matter entirely to walk alongside a successful entrepreneur, in real-time, who is still on the journey, and execute the same strategies.

Jacinta "Franchon" Corum-Burgess, born and raised in the DMV, currently owns Franchon Parlour (founded 2014, Columbia, MD). A twelve-year hair industry veteran, Jacinta attended Morgan State University, graduating with a degree in business in 2011. Her dedication has helped her build an extensive clientele of over 150 active clients. In 2012, Jacinta launched JFREMY.com, an online store of high-quality virgin hair extensions. Within two years of its launch, JFREMY saw profits of approximately $100, 000. In 2013, with JFREMY.com doing so well, Jacinta toured the regional market with an exclusive JFREMY hair show. Jacinta's work ethic and talent have afforded her opportunities to work with local talent and numerous hair and fashion gurus. Some of these opportunities include: providing hair and make up for the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week (which featured Espion Atlier's Fall 2014 campaign), creating customized JFREMY units for Ashley T. Moore and Cyn Santana's appearances on VH1's LOVE and HIP HOP Atlanta and New York respectively. Robin Dixon of HouseWives of Potomac, and Americas next top model cycle 22. Each amazing opportunity that Jacinta has been presented with, comes as a result of her passion and professionalism, which build on each other. In addition to the above-mentioned opportunities, they have opened the door for Jacinta to provide hair services for the NFL Player's, Ray Rice and his bride Janay Rice's wedding, held at the Four Seasons in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as other NFL wives such has Keisha Mclain and Mrs. Smith, (Tory Smiths wife). Jacinta has also partnered with Sew Jodie, stylist of Atlanta housewives for celebrity hair classes. In addition to accommodating various types of clients' hair styling needs, Jacinta makes time to schedule an array of published photo- shoots and news castings, networking with photographers from all over the east coast. Jacinta is passionate about helping her clients achieve unique modes of self-expression through the ever-evolving hair techniques. She specializes in weaves, precision cutting, and healthy hair. Her extensive training includes Goldwell systems, Design Essentials, Influence, Rusk, Wella, NY and Paul Digriglio, Paul Mitchell Academy and working along side some of the best Hairstylist in the industry. Jacinta has an incredible eye for color, and her chic cutting and styling techniques make her a standout stylist with an elegant finishing touch.
