Kiswahili is a very important language in Kenya because it is both a national and an official language in the country. It is compulsory at both KCPE and KCSE levels. The available information by Kenya national examination council has indicated that girls performed better than boys in Kiswahili at KCSE level nationally. This book explores the impact of gender attitudes on performance in Kiswahili subject in secondary schools. It reveals that there is a close relationship between the entry behavior, the attitudes that students hold about the subject and performance.
