Autorenporträt
James Shorthouse qualified in 2003 from St. Mary's Hospital Medical School at Imperial College, University of London. He is currently a Specialty Registrar in Anaesthetics in the Oxford Deanery. His specialist interests include ultrasound for regional anaesthesia, simulation, medical education, writing, and teaching. James is also the author of the highly successful blog, 'Passing the Final FRCA', which has received international recognition. Graham Barker qualified in 2002 from Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals, London, then trained as an Anaesthetic and ICU SHO in London and Melbourne, Australia. He is currently a Specialty Registrar within the Oxford Deanery specialising in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, with special interests in critical care imaging (including echocardiography) and the education of under- and postgraduate students. Carl Waldmann currently holds the position of Consultant Anaesthetist and Director of Intensive Care at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading. He qualified at Cambridge University and The London Hospital, and was a Medical Officer in the RAF from 1977 to 1982. He returned to be a lecturer at the Royal London Hospital, then became a senior registrar at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. Carl is also a council member of the Intensive Care Society; editor/former editor for two journals; and a member of the editorial board of the CEA of the BJA. He is President Elect of the Intensive Care Society of Great Britain.
