Pregnancy is a wonderful experience in a woman s life. Teaching Maternal-Child Health Nursing is challenging and at the same time enjoyable considering the authors have been through the nine wonder months of pregnancy and have given birth normally and surgically. It provides experiential teaching and learning. This manual is designed to assist instructors and students during their Obstetrics lecture and related learning activities. Please bear in mind that the instructor s style and teaching strategies may vary. It is also the objective of this manual to require the students to take down notes that is why most of the contents are left blank for them to write down during lectures. We believe that writing produces schemata in our brains that when constantly used will remain activated. That is the beauty of taking notes.
