My family could have been the prototype for a '50's TV sitcom. So it was quite a surprise to hear my 87-year-old father swapping recollections with his 82-yearold brother about all the wild adventures they'd had growing up during the '20's and '30's in the small southeast Kansas town of Chetopa.
