Jason Daniel Chaplin was born in Mission, Texas in 1990. He graduated from Southwest Baptist University in 2015. In addition to "The Savage Romantics", he is the author of one other novel, "A Rocky Existence" (which he wrote when he was only 17) and one novella, "A Decent Machine" - both published in 2012.
