JB Morris' lifetime experiences as a state legislator, army reserve officer and deputy county coroner are the building blocks in his writing career. He witnessed corruption in government and taught military tactics. He saw the ravages of murder at crime scenes. He pooled his experiences to write the novel Seth. A story of corrupt cops and a drug war between rival cartels. JB's poetry has been published in the Denver Post and short stories on the Not Over the Hill website. He also wrote stories for a statewide recreational organization. His most memorable story was of a young marine who hit the beach on the first morning of the Iwo Jima invasion. JB is adding three more novels in the thriller and romance genres. He is also outlining three additional novels. JB is active in the writing community, with membership in Willamette Writers and The Writer's Chatroom. He also participates in a number of social media websites. JB has a hidden side to his life experiences. He worked with his father in the family funeral home and attended mortuary school. The business included a cemetery that he managed for a number of years. During his free time, he was a TV weatherman for ten years. Retired, JB lives with his wife in the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
