This study was about an assessment of monitoring and evaluation on project, a case of Kirehe community-based watershed management project (KWAMP) in Kirehe District. The purpose of the study was to assess how staff training influences project performance, to determine how the level of funding influences the project performance, to establish how adherence to corporate governance practices influences project performance, to establish how the extent to which tools and techniques influences project performance and to show how stakeholders participation influences project performance. The research questions were to know if staff training, the level of funding, adherence to corporate governance, tools and techniques and stakeholder's participation had a statistical influence on KWAMP performance. The study hypothesis was that staff training, the level of funding, adherence to corporate governance, selection of tools and techniques and stakeholder's participation had a statistical influence on KWAMP performance. The study has been guided by the stakeholder's theory. A descriptive design has been used.
