Rekunyk received his honors degree in science from the University of Saskatchewan and was a teaching assistant for the graduate program instructing geological engineering under graduate labs. He is the CEO and founder of P&NG Capital Ltd. an energy consulting firm that has advised EnCana, Sinopec Canada, OMERS Energy LP which manage energy assets for Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System ("OMERS") Pension, Manitoba Pension and others in the energy space - in the areas of financial and asset optimization advisory services that includes, reassessment and project economic evaluation optimization, mergers and the development of organic opportunities in A&D, strategic midstream, combined cycle power generation and energy marketing and trading investments.
