With over 30 years of experience as human services profession, she has experience working in various administrative, research, and service roles within nonprofit organizations and higher education. She has a doctorate of philosophy in human services, masters of science and graduate certificates in diversity studies, nonprofit management and social and community services. She has a certification in Interdisciplinary Practice in Geriatrics and has written curriculum resulting in a Gerontology Certificate for human service majors for a college in Rhode Island. She services on the board of directors for Day One, RI working to stop human trafficking and sexual assault of children, women and men and volunteers for the Alzheimer's Association. She is a partner of The Kings Cathedral where she is empowered to walk in her purpose to mentor and empower those she encounters to rediscover their personal worth. She is an academician and board-certified human services practitioner, charing research teams and mentoring researchers as they navigate the rigors of earning a terminal degree. Whether in her role as a wife or mother, dean or mentor she is intentional in encouraging, equipping, and introducing the power of an approach and the recovery of worth.
