Produktbeschreibung
Students and early-stage researchers in academia and industry are often challenged with identifying research problems, choosing an area of research, and deciding on the suitable computing research methodology to apply in the appropriate computing discipline. After determining the methodology, then comes the issue of how to apply it.

This book is a survival manual that contains a detailed research procedure from the perspective of different computing disciplines. The book can equip the readers with an understanding of identifying research problem, problem formulation, extensive literature review (critical and systematic), developing methodologies, sources of research datasets, computing research tools, trending research areas in computing, academic databases housing computing literature, research ethics in computing, how to overcome potential challenges in a journey to research in computing and provide tips/skills required for writing journal manuscript for publication in high impact journals.

The aim is to facilitate students' acquisition of a range of research methods and ensure that students are aware of the ethical framework within which research is conducted and presented. Readers will not only be able to understand the research methods used in different computing discipline, but also be prepared to critique scholarly articles in their field; conduct a comparative critical analysis of scholarship in their field; formulate a scientifically sound conceptual framework within computing and offer support for it through empirical evidence; communicate the results of their peer review; engage with research methods intelligently and with confidence and ultimately write original and impactful reports, dissertations and papers to communicate the fruits of their original research conducted from the perspective of computing.
