Autorenporträt
Jenni has been writing for many years and originally began writing for her granddaughter Jessica. Her first book, 'Losing William' was published in 2004. Since then she has gone on to publish three more books in the Keri series, with another at the editing stage. Jenni also has a book of short stories for boys, which includes a story from the 'Dare and Double Dare Anthology', published in 2007. 'The Tree Climber' is based on an incident from Jenni's childhood, as are many of the other short stories she has written. The book is called 'A Little book of Short Stories for Boys'. However, her novels are pure fiction. A second novel is set on an island during a school camping trip. The title is 'Fire Island'. The island, although with a different name, will be familiar to many New Zealanders. The third, 'Danger Signs' introduces a deaf boy and his brother who is struggling with his brothers disability. Jenni taught deaf children for ten years. The fourth book is called 'Cold as Ice' and is centred around skiing, and a girl who has an eating disorder. Jenni writes for her grandchildren, and her fans who love her stories. She lives on a small farm north of Auckland, New Zealand.
