Jennifer Francis-Gehring was born and raised in Owensboro, KY. She went on a long adventure at the early age of eighteen to the big city of Louisville, KY where she fell in love with culture, social justice, empowerment and learning about life. Along the way she became a social worker, a nurse, a therapist, and Yoga teacher. Jennifer continues to learn how to adjust her sails amidst life's difficulties daily, while following her intuition of knowing and trusting exactly what her body and soul need in the moment, allowing her breath to guide the movement of her body.Jennifer became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2019 and currently provides therapy for survivors of sexual harm. Jennifer is enthusiastic about educating everyone and anyone on the beauty of nervous systems, Polyvagal Theory, trauma stewardship, and restorative practices that create room for expansion and creativity to flourish. Jennifer creates training opportunities that educate her community about trauma and the ability to embody resilience and healing. Jennifer loves spending time learning about cutting-edge treatments for trauma, being in nature, puttering in her backyard and spending time with all the creatures she adores - her husband Robert, her fur babies Kiwi and Abby, her life coaches - Cheyenne, Shadow and Chessie, her guardian tree - Lionel, Ice Bath Posse, Polyvagal Theory Posse, DnD Posse, Drumming Circle Posse and all of her family, friends and co-workers who have helped her along her journey.
