This dissertation was written at the TU Dortmund under supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. W. Rhode. It deals with neutrinos from Starburst-Galaxies, a type of galaxy which features strong star formation. The first chapter is an introduction, the second outlines the status of astroparticle physics and introduces the neutrino in the context of astroparticle physics. The following chapter presents the Starburst-Galaxies as possible neutrino sources and presents a local source catalog. Chapter four introduces the IceCube detector with which data a search for neutrinos from Starburst-Galaxies was performed using the catalog presented before. The analysis and its results is outlined in chapter five. Chapter six summarises the findings. In the appendices the source catalog and additional figures can be found.
