JERE G. MICHELSONA CPA by training, Jere spent his early years in public accounting, specializing in corporate taxation. He shifted to the non-profit sector years ago, first as Chief Financial Officer of a prominent Maine private foundation, then adding the title of President to his résumé. He is past-Chairman of Maine Medical Center and serves on its parent health system board. He also serves on a bank board as well as multiple for-profit entity boards. Jere is very grateful for his appointment by Sen. Susan Collins of Maine to serve on the first district's United States Military Academy Nomination Committee.
