Jessica Simien Curl was born in 1982 in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Catholic schools during most of her early years of education. She holds a BA in Mass Communication from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. She has worked for several major corporations including Allstate, Cerner and Capella University. She is a senior Marketing & Communications Manager at the Nelson Museum and Art Gallery in Kansas City, Mo.Ellie Behrmann is the illustrator of Love, The Pony That Could. She is a retired Artist/Designer at Hallmark Cards, Inc. She studied at the Kansas City Art Institute.
