The book highlights influence of date of sowing, spacing and Nitrogen on Grain Amaranth (Amaranthus hypochondriacus L.). The results indicated that grain amaranth variety GA-2 sown on 1st November with wider row spacing of 45 cm and application of 80 kg N ha-1 significantly increased periodical (30, 60 and 90 DAS and at harvest) growth parameters viz., plant height, number of leaves per plant, stem girth and yield attributes viz., length of spike and spikelet. Significantly the highest seed yield (1890 kg ha-1) and Stover yield (3776 kg ha-1) were recorded when crop sown on 1st November. Maximum gross and net realization of Rs. 28728 and 20540 ha-1, respectively with BCR of 2.51 was also obtained under 1st November sowing date.
