I Talked With Him This Morning is a collection of poems that have arisen out of my morning meditation over the past three and a half years since retiring. The collection began as a continuation of my custom of writing a poem each week that would capture the main point of the sermon I was preaching the upcoming Sunday. It was my intention that by capturing the main point of the sermon in a brief poem and having that printed on the bulletin each week, members of the congregation could take it home and think about it during the week.
