Jude Adams, a singer/songwriter, has created and self-published her first book, The Window to My Soul: A Memoir of Sorts, and written and produced her second album, also entitled The Window to My Soul. Despite her deep love of music, Jude did not pluck up the courage to start singing until she reached the age of 50. Her venture into singing in public was short-lived as, just two years later, she had to stop performing due to illness. Through the period of recovery, she started to write as a creative outlet. Her writing evolved into lyrics and inspired her to write melodies. In 2016 she released her debut album of self-penned songs, This Girl, This Woman. Having had a 21-year career in the Health and Fitness Industry, culminating in 8 years as an HR Director, Jude then retrained and worked as a freelance Interior Designer whilst also running a high-end B&B at her home during which time her singing adventure began. Jude launched This Girl, This Woman in 2016, at Creek Creative, Faversham, Kent with a multimedia exhibition - The Most Extraordinary Adventure. It was supported by a successful Crowdfunding campaign and Arts Council England grant. The following year the event toured - exhibition, film installation, performance and 'In Conversation' - concluding with the Canterbury Festival Umbrella in October 2017. Jude will be setting The Window to My Soul (memoir and album) free in June 2019 continuing her Most Extraordinary Adventure in the year of her 60th birthday.
