Judy Petersen-Fleming has shared the wonderment of the animal kingdom around the world for more than three decades. With a particular fondness for penguins, she learned about the many misconceptions that exist regarding these extraordinary birds. It is her passion for educating kids that led Judy to partner with Suzy Spafford in creating Only You Can Be You: A Blue Penguin Tale. Judy and her husband live in Baja, Mexico, pursuing their love for wildlife. Suzy Spafford is the creator and illustrator of Suzy's Zoo. Her artwork first appeared as greeting cards in 1968, and over the years, her endearing animal characters have appeared on a wide variety of products in over 23 countries, including children's books and an animated television series. Suzy and her husband, Ray Lidstrom, live in an old arts-and-crafts house in San Diego, California, where she continues to illustrate her whimsical characters.
