The study set out to identify the determinants of safe male circumcision service utilization among youth 18 to 35 years in Kawempe division, Kampala District. The study focused specifically at assessing the level of knowledge and perception by the youth 18-35years towards safe male circumcision ; assessing the level of willingness by the youth 18-35years to take up safe male circumcision services and to find out the demographic profile of youth 18-35years in Kawempe Division. Using a cross sectional survey design data was collected from 85 respondents using questionnaires. Data was entered and analyzed. 57.2% of the respondents were from 18 to 24 years, 54.1% were single (not married). 40.8% had attained secondary education whereas 7.3% had never attended formal education. Majority of the respondents where Baganda (42.4%) while the Luo where list represented with 4.7%. Most of the respondents were Christians with Anglicans (34.1%) being the majority among Christians followed by Catholics (22.4%) and Seventh day Adventists(12.9% ) while Muslims were the minority (2.4%). 50.6% were un employed.
