The wireless fading channel has not only swamped many a system designs for the last many years but its increasing significance is apparent with the advent of ubiquitous access applications. Keeping in focus the channel fading as the significant impairment, the primary goal of this book is to present a simplified analysis to compute the performance of different wireless systems characterized by a variety of modulation/detection types and fading channel models. This book is extremely helpful in this goal in that it offers for the most part tractable expressions for such parameters as the Amount of fading, average signal to noise ratio, outage probability, and the average bit error probability. Coverage includes: Mathematical characterization of cascade and Compound fading channels Simplified expressions for performance analysis that heretofore available in complex functional forms Semi-analytical evaluation of UWB systems Wireless Communication through Fading Dispersive Channels, is an essential resource for senior undergraduate students, researchers and practicing engineers responsible for evaluating their performance.
