The present investigation on "Impact of organic practices for augmenting the productivity of hot pepper" was taken up in a farmer's field at Sivapuri, a village located 2 Km away from Annamalai University. Hot pepper commonly known as chilli (Capsicum annum L.) earns an attractive export value in the foreign markets as a spice. Recently the demand for organically produced food is increasing considerably. The experiments were conducted to find out suitable organic practices for augmenting the productivity of hot pepper by adopting proper nursery management practice involving solarization with various amendments and nutrient management through various bulky organic manures, concentrated oil cakes, biofertilizers and foliar organic nutrition, in addition to proper weed management practices through various mulches.
