Present book is an outcome Ph.D work completed in the year 2013-14.India and Russian are the world's pre-eminent examples of pluralistic, multi-denominational societies with a deeply-rooted tradition of tolerance and constructive co-existence between different faiths and beliefs of great internal diversity, combined with a strong sense of national and cultural unity, operating in a federal political frame work. This dimension has enriched the cultural heritage of both countries and helped cultural empathy.In the contemporary post-cold war global order, India and the Russian federation are two significant powers in early 21st century that have endeavoured to shape and influence the onward march of world history. Under the spell of full-blooded 'economic globalization, both Russia and India are presently engaged in redefining and strengthening bilateral economic cooperation between, these two political societies, comprising "Bharat" and the Russian federation. The quest of bilateral economic cooperation between these two sovereign states constitutes one of the dimensions of Indo-Russian diplomatic relations in the present times.
